Just a bunch

Walking on a local beach looking for things to photograph I came across this broken shell nestled in the rocks,
I decided it would make a cool little planter[ digitally of course] with some flowers added.

Fall brings the spiders out.

As the weather starts to get cooler here in the Pacific Northwest the garden spiders start to spin their webs across the bushes and trees and even your doorway [ so that you walk out in the morning and get a face full of web ]
I love to go out with my camera to take photos of these spiders and their webs especially when they have dew on them ,then I use these images in my digital art.
One of my creation is called Space Spider ,I took the spider out of her web and put her up into the sky.

Art of Digital at Gibsons Public Art Gallery.

The Gibsons Public Art Gallery is hosting The Art of Digital.
This show running from Aug to October 6 2008 is solely for art created in the digital arena.
All art submitted had to have a substantial amount of manipulation to qualify
Four of my submissions were accepted{ one won 3rd prize}which gave me a great boost.
The best thing was seeing all the other wonderful digital art at the show and meeting all the artists as well.
If you get a chance to drop by the gallery do go in and check out this show while you have the chance.

The Island at the edge of the world

There is an island on the edge of the world...
last safe haven for all the mythical creatures, Dragons,Unicorns,Fairies,Elves and mermaids all live here in isolation and safety.
This island is not on any maps.
It can sometimes be seen in the early morning mist for a second or two before it disappears.

Draco

I love Dragons....ever since I was a little kid I used to draw them all the time and read any dragon stories.
Since I got back to my art recently I realized I had not done any dragons in my digital work.
So here is Draco, done with my pen tablet in photoshop

Rain again on the Sunshine Coast

After a beautiful sunny weekend it's business as usual on the Sunshine Coast......rain !
Maybe I can stay inside and work on my art today instead.I have a few mixed media canvases that have been waiting to get finished ,so maybe today's the day.
After looking through some of my recent photographs of our beautiful coastal forests it makes you realize if we had no rain we would not have such awesome trees and mosses .
Living in a rain forest can be a wonderful thing [just keep your boots and umbrella handy.]

This wonderful shop is filled to the rafters with vintage furniture, carpets ,cushions french soaps and candles and so many things to list here.
The Swallows Nest is owned by Ginny, a lady who knows her stuff when it comes to decorating your home.
Recently Ginny held an art show at "the nest"with lots of wonderful art from many local artists.
I sold three of the five pieces I displayed so I was very pleased about that.
If you come to Gibsons please take time to visit the "Nest"or
